Record a valid permission basis
Only send marketing email to people your business is permitted to contact. Wepy records contact status and available consent history, but your organization remains responsible for lawful collection, disclosure, and retention practices.
- Use signup forms and imports only for contacts collected through an appropriate permission flow. Enable double opt-in on a form when the person should confirm by email before becoming subscribed.
- Keep the contact status current when permission changes.
- Use the Hygiene view to review available consent context and duplicate candidates.
- Honor privacy, correction, export, and deletion requests through your approved process.
Confirmation and email preferences
When double opt-in is enabled, Wepy sends a signed confirmation link that expires after 24 hours. Confirmation records the form and consent wording used for that submission without replacing existing profile details.
- Owners and admins define up to 12 active email topics in Audience > Email preferences; the default General marketing topic remains protected.
- Choose one active topic for every email campaign so recipients can make a meaningful, bounded choice.
- A recipient can stop one or more topics from the signed preference page, or unsubscribe from all marketing.
- Wepy re-checks global permission and the selected topic before dispatch and again before delivery.
Unsubscribe and suppression
Unsubscribed and suppressed contacts are excluded from future marketing sends. The Suppression view explains who is not eligible without exposing private unsubscribe tokens.
